The research activity aims to carry out interdisciplinary projects, which as a priority develop the skills of young researchers in the field of basic, epidemiological and clinical-therapeutic research of clinical benefit.

The main areas of scientific research in recent years have been epidemiology and psychiatric care, modern therapy of depression and schizophrenia, forensic psychiatry, alcoholism, the field of chemical sensors and biosensors for the determination of neurotransmitters and their metabolites in depressed patients.
