BIOSTATISTICS

Analytical Program - General Medicine, Year I

Disciplines the analytical programme correlates with:

Medical Informatics, Physiology, Physiopathology, Internal Medicine, Semiology, Radiology.

Basic content:

- Introduction to descriptive statistics and estimation theory.

- Random variables as a basic concept in statistics, probability density.

- Statistical inference.

- Introduction to correlation theory.

- Elements of regression analysis.

Form of assessmentOral exam and practical test

Specific objectives:

1. Training students in the statistical approach to medical knowledge.

2. Training of practical skills in the use of computer programs oriented to medical statistics.

3. Training the statistical way of thinking in contrast to the exact way of thinking of classical logic.

The analytical programme is intended for students of the first year specialising in Medicine.
