How to Access Our Services

The services provided by the Medical Imaging Center of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova can be accessed in the following ways:

• Based on a referral issued by your family doctor or a specialist, within the contract with the National Health Insurance House;
• Privately, based on a medical recommendation and a direct appointment, at affordable rates.

Appointments can be made:

• By phone, by directly contacting the center at the numbers listed here;
• In person, at the center’s reception desk, depending on availability and the type of requested investigation.

Documents required for your visit:

To ensure your examination is conducted efficiently, please bring the following:

• Identity card;
• Active national health insurance card or replacement certificate;
• Referral from your family doctor or specialist, or medical recommendation, depending on your chosen service option;
• Urea and creatinine lab results, depending on the investigation;
• Relevant previous medical documents, such as imaging results, lab tests, medical reports, discharge summaries, or other supporting documents.

• Imaging investigations at the UMF Craiova Medical Imaging Center are non-invasive, painless, and conducted under strict safety and comfort conditions.
• Clear explanations are provided, and the medical staff offers full support throughout the procedure.
• Some tests may require specific preparation, which will be communicated at the time of booking.

Waiting Times

We strive to minimize waiting times. Appointment intervals depend on the investigation type and urgency indicated in the medical referral.

Recommendations for a Smooth Visit

• Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled time;
• If you need to cancel, notify us promptly to reallocate the slot;
• Keep all medical documents issued, as they may be useful for future evaluations or interdisciplinary consultations.
