The Doctoral School has been active within the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova since 1999, shortly after the university was founded in 1998. Over the years, it has grown steadily through the development of modern educational and research infrastructure, highly qualified academic staff, and advanced training programs.

Accreditation for organizing and conducting doctoral studies was granted by the National Council for the Attestation of Titles, Diplomas and University Certificates (C.N.A.T.D.C.U.) on December 3rd, 1998, and by Order of the Minister of National Education no. 3012/05.01.1999.

The Doctoral School is accredited to offer PhD studies in the fields of Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy, within the broader area of Biomedical Sciences.

Our mission is to train competent researchers capable of contributing to scientific progress.We provide doctoral students with the academic, material, and logistical resources they need to pursue research, development, and innovation. The program culminates in the public defense of the thesis and the awarding of the PhD degree.
