Radiologists and medical imaging specialists,

in congress at UMF Craiova

The Romanian Society of Radiology and Medical Imaging (SRIMR) in partnership with the University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Craiova (UMF) organizes the National Congress of Radiology and Medical Imaging in Romania. The event will take place on 21-24 September 2023, at UMF and at the "Marin Sorescu" National Theatre in Craiova. Siemens Healthineers joins this year's edition as a Strategic Partner.

The official opening will take place on Friday 22nd September 2023, at 18.30, at the National Theatre "MarinSorescu" in Craiova.

After more than 20 years, specialists in the field of radiology and imaging from all university centres in Romania and all over Europe will meet in Craiova. We mention on behalf of the European Society of Radiology (ESR) Prof. Dr. Adrian Brady (Chair of the ESR Board of Directors, Ireland), Prof. Dr. Valerie Vilgrain (ESOR - European School of Radiology chairperson, France), Prof. Dr. Christian Loewe (National Societies Committee Chairperson, Austria), Prof. Dr. Emanuele Neri (Quality, Safety and Standards Committee Chairperson, Italy), Prof. Dr. Laura Oleaga (EDiR - European Diploma in Radiology, Spain), Peter Baierl (Executive Director ESR). On behalf of the European radiology societies will be present Prof. Dr. Marc Hermier (French Society of Radiology), Prof. Dr. Andrzej Cieszanowsk (President of the Polish Society of Radiology, Poland), Dr. Ferdinand Bauer (Germany), Prof. Dr. Yacov Sosna (President of the Radiological Society of Israel), Prof. Dr. Marga Semion (President of the Radiological Society of the Republic of Moldova).

What is new this year is the ESOR VISITING PROFESSORSHIP PROGRAMME (Course on Advanced MR of the Abdomen), a pre-congress course, made possible by the European Society of Radiology. Among the activities of the congress we mention: Radiology ESR Experts, including members of the ESR Steering Committee, EDIR Session (European Diploma in Radiology), Escape Room, with medical imaging themes, with prizes for residents and young specialists, for which representatives of ESR and Young Radiologists will be present in the organization.
