UMF Craiova at "Frații Buzești" College

In Romania, cervical cancer is the third most commonly diagnosed cancer in women, after breast and colorectal cancer. A team of UMF Craiova teachers, pharmacists and doctors with various specialities met at the "Frații Buzești" College (Craiova) with students, parents and teachers to whom they explained the causes of HPV infection as well as ways of prevention.

🟣Associate professor Carmen Oancea, associate professor Dominic Iliescu, senior lecturer Gindrovel Dumitra, senior lecturer Cristian Lungulescu, together with the rector of UMF Craiova, Professor Dan Ionuț Gheonea, explained to the public the prevention options as well as the protection offered by HPV vaccination.

🟣The meeting is part of a broad program of UMF Craiova, which aims to facilitate access of the population in the South West Oltenia Region to high quality medical services, oriented to #prevention, early detection (#screening), early diagnosis and treatment of precancerous #colorectal lesions.
