July 28th - World Viral Hepatitis Day
In the Aula Magna, the UMF community met the community assistants and representatives of the Public Health Department, the main partner in the implementation of education, information and prevention programs initiated in recent years by UMF Craiova. The meeting marked the World Day against viral hepatitis.
The figures are alarming, but there is no shortage of solutions. Viral hepatitis is a common cause of severe liver disease and liver cancer. But you can get tested and save yourself❗ Hepatitis C doesn't wait❗
So far, UMF Craiova and DSP Dolj specialist teams have reached many disadvantaged communities in Oltenia. Together we have conducted dozens of screening campaigns and screened over 60.000people in the communities surrounding our university for Hepatitis C free of charge, and through the ROCCAS Colon Cancer Diagnostic Services Program, we have screened over 50.000people.
After hindsight, plans. We continue with new programmes that save lives.
