Expected results include:

Overall the targets identified will be used to develop new pre-clinical therapeutic strategies aimed at improving recuperation after stroke in the aged subjects.

(1) characterized cells and cell lines for therapeutical purposes;

(2) know-how on stem cell preparation;

(3) pre-clinical protocols (preparation of cells for therapeutic purposes, hypothermia, cell therapy).
