Lilelong Learning Programs

Lifelong Learning Program is a program of the European Union that aims at developing the European Community as an advanced society based on knowledge, with a sustainable economic development, with several and better jobs and increased social cohesion. The program aims to support exchanges, cooperation and mobility between education and training systems within the Community, so that these systems become world quality benchmarks.

Lifelong Learning Program is structured in four sub-programs that correspond to basic learning, training and lifelong learning:
  •  Comenius, for pre-university education
  •  Erasmus for higher education
  •  Leonardo da Vinci for vocational training
  •  Grundtvig for adult education

Sectoral programs are complemented by a cross-cutting program, aimed at four key actions:

  • Cooperation and Innovation
  •  Languages
  •  Information and Communication Technologies
  •  Dissemination and exploitation of results

The Jean Monnet programme is added to them supporting teaching, research and reflection on European integration within the higher education institutions.
