The curricula for all forms of didactic activivity ( courses, practical work, training, seminars ) and the assessment methoddds are approved at the begining of each academic year by the Faculty Council. In Order to ensure the optium participation of students in practical education, they are divided into study groups of 5 - 7 students, each group being supeervised by an university assistant.

The curriculum is continuously up-dated and improved according to modern trends in and worldwide. The content of the currricula and its implementation successfully combine tradition and modernity, preparing you for the continuing of process of professional development, once you obtain your degree.

Assessment

The methods of assessment at our University include written axaminations, seminar work, oral and practical examination. At the end of their study undeergraduate students will take part B.A. Degree ( License ) examination and the presentation of the final thesis ( elaborated during the final year of study under the scientific direction of the teaching staff).

Marking system

There are many global differences in university marking systems. Our commitment to internationalization has compelled us to apply the European Credit Transfer System. According to the national marking system, marks are given on a scale of 1 to 10. Five is the minimum mark to pass an exam or examination. Six is the minimum mark to pass the B.A. Degree ( license ) examination.

Degrees awarded

According to the program you are registered in, you ca be awarded the following degrees: B.A Degree Diploma ( for Pharnacy, Balneo-Physiokinetotherapy and recovery, Midwives and Nursing); Medical Doctor (for Medicine and DEntistry); Ph.D. (for doctoral studies); Diploma of Competence (for Postgraduate Study in different specialties); Certificate for Refresher courses.

Location of the courses

Courses and practical stages are organized in various locations. Usually, courses are organized within the two buildings of the University. Practical stages are organized within University Clinics, Hospitals and Laboratories, in special lecture rooms or halls. All the buildings of the University are located within 10 minutes walking distance. All of the (including student hostels) are very close to the center of the city, within 10 minutes walk from the administrative building.
